Decentralized Attention Layer Project Launches Bug Bounty Program
Layer3, a decentralized attention layer project, has recently rolled out a bug bounty program in collaboration with HackenProof, offering rewards of up to $500,000. This initiative aims to enhance the security of its omnichain infrastructure, which plays a critical role in supporting various essential functions across a vast network of over 500 ecosystems.
Attractive Rewards for Identifying Vulnerabilities
Participants in the bug bounty program can earn bounties ranging from $5,000 for medium-severity issues to a substantial maximum reward of $500,000 for uncovering critical vulnerabilities. Critical-severity findings are incentivized with a six-month linear vesting schedule in DEXE tokens, while other rewards may be distributed in stablecoins. The primary focus is on detecting and addressing vulnerabilities within Layer3’s smart contracts that could potentially lead to theft, unauthorized activities, or asset freezing.
Clear Guidelines and Program Rules
Layer3 has established clear guidelines regarding what constitutes “in-scope” and “out-of-scope” vulnerabilities. In-scope issues include unauthorized fund transfers, access control bypasses, and emergency withdrawals. Participants must strictly adhere to program rules, such as reporting only one vulnerability per submission and providing a proof of concept for all severity levels. Testing activities should be confined to a specific scope to prevent disruptions to services or compromising personal data. Unauthorized activities such as DoS/DDoS attacks, social engineering, and the use of automated tools to spam forms are strictly prohibited.
