The program will run from Aug. 7 to Aug. 21, focusing on governance, partnerships, and community empowerment in addition to the $800,000 in matching funds across 11 quadratic funding rounds.
Community-Curated Project Funding
Gitcoin Grants, established in 2019, offers a unique community-curated approach to project funding within the Ethereum ecosystem. With over $60 million distributed to more than 3,700 projects and support from a vast user base, the initiative has been instrumental in fostering innovation and development in the space.
Support for Arbitrum and Celo Ecosystems
The Gitcoin Grants 21 program provides specific support for projects within the Arbitrum and Celo ecosystems. With a matching pool of 150,000 ARB for Arbitrum and a focus on decentralized applications, core infrastructure, and developer tooling, as well as funding for Celo’s real-world blockchain use cases, including regenerative finance and decentralized physical infrastructure, the initiative aims to drive innovation and growth in these key sectors.
